A beautiful, rare French lily of the valley brooch by Maison Gripoix. The large brooch features vibrant green gripoix glass leaves set into thin gold metal frames. Layered over the leaves sit clusters of pinched faux pearl floral drops on gold metal prongs. The brooch is finished with a secure roll over clasp and is marked 'France'.
A beautiful picture has been included of actress Mia Sara wearing the necklace version of the brooch on the cover of Tatler in 1985. The necklace was listed as Maison Gripoix for Chanel.
There are some inclusions within the glass leaves, all of which can be seen clearly in the pictures. There is also one pearl flower that is missing part of its pearl covering (picture 7). The brooch remains in good vintage condition overall.
