Antique Victorian Silver Paste Figural Bird Necklace

A truly exceptional antique silver bird pendant set on a wonderfully decorative silver chain. I believe this necklace is a marriage of two pieces with the chain slightly predating the pendant but they match perfectly so it has been kept as is.

The three dimensional silver bird features delicate blue and white paste studded wings with a sparkling green crest. It has a decorative white stone drop that tests as some sort of zircon or spinel and is attached by the tip of each wing to the necklace chain.

I would imagine the bird to be French in origin based on style and stone setting but sadly neither piece is hallmarked. Truly a one of a kind find!

The necklace is in good antique condition.
