A spectacular old venetian foil glass dragon bead necklace. This is an incredibly rare 19 century glass bead necklace. The rare frilled edged foiled beads are graduated and vary slightly in colour from a vibrant blue foil to a pale silver close to the clasp. The focal beds are two outstanding glass dragon beads intricately designed. This is a sensational old lamp worked venetian foil glass necklace of book piece quality.
The necklace is on its original stringing which may not be secure. A small number of the beds have tiny nibbles to the edges - all of which can be seen in the photos and one of the dragon beads has a small nibble on the end - also pictured. The necklace remains in good condition for its age.
