A wonderful antique silver gilt pansy brooch dating to the early 20th century.
The brooch is such a stunning piece that I have had my jeweller add a solid gold bar between the top petals to enable the piece to also be worn as a pendant.
The pansy is set with sparkling pink paste stones with rows of seed pearls. It features a secure hook clasp with a gold plated bale attached to the bar.
The brooch is not hallmarked but tests as silver gilt and is most likely French in origin.
