A wonderful antique silver Egyptian revival necklace set with real tortoise beetle scarabs.
Each scarab is set into a close backed silver frame attached to a silver chain leading to a secure push clasp.
There are no hallmarks sadly but I would imagine the piece is around late Victorian in age and English in origin.
The necklace is in good antique condition.
