A lovely antique brooch that is a slight mystery due to unreadable hallmarks.
The brooch is studded with diamonds with a faceted amethyst at its centre. The silver of the brooch has an almost gunmetal tone to it which differs in vibrancy across the frame.
The brooch features an intricate trombone clasp with a hooked fastening that lifts up and down to be secured in place.
There are two hallmarks on the pin which as stated are sadly unreadable. Based on design the piece is early 20th century in age and possibly Russian or Italian.
There is some varying discolouration to the silver. The brooch remains in good antique condition overall.
