A rare antique saphiret glass pendant featuring a carved intaglio cameo of Julius Caesar.
The saphiret glass is foil backed and wonderfully coloured with vibrant blue tones. The cameo is set into a filigree backed base metal frame attached to the gold metal chain.
There is some light wear to the foil backing of the saphiret stone, the actual glass has some very light surface wear and crazing but remains in good condition overall.
