The most incredible articulated pendant by Meyle & Mayer, dating to the Art Nouveau period.
The silver charm features two enamelled curtain panels complete with tiny silver tassels. The curtains are inscribed "Portrait d'un ange" ("Portrait of an Angel") in black enamel lettering.
The curtains open theatrically to reveal a little mirror reflecting whoever is placed in front of it.
The pendant is marked 'Déposé' with the silver grade '900' and the dragonfly cartouche for Meyle & Mayer.
There is some light mottling around the edges of the mirror. The charm is in good antique condition overall.
