A charming late Georgian pendant featuring a beautiful hand painted vista framed by cut steel stones - I think this may be the earliest example of cut steel jewellery I have ever had in the shop.
The vista has been hand painted in romantic pastel tones with two tiny birds taking flight in the distance.
I believe the pendant most likely started life as a button based on the little patch of wear on its base. The conversion itself is old but remains secure so has been left as is.
There is some light wear to the gilding of the metal frame which can be seen in the pictures. The piece most likely dates to between 1800 to 1820 so it remains in good condition for its age!
