Vintage 1940s Celluloid Swallow Earrings
A very sweet pair of vintage earrings featuring carved celluloid swallows.
Celluloid was an early type of plastic, sometimes known as "French Ivory", created during the 19th century as an alternative to materials such as coral, ivory and tortoiseshell.
Each swallow hangs from a chain which is attached to gold-plated pierced hooks.
The earrings can be fitted with solid gold fastenings for a small additional cost, if preferred.
The earrings are in good antique condition.
