An exceptional antique buckle made by iconic French jeweller Piel Frères.
The Art Deco buckle features two carved green bakelite pieces framed by black enamel detailing with paste studded panels and a coral coloured galalith stone at each edge. The detail within the piece is truly unmatched.
The buckle is marked 'P.F' and fastens securely.
There is damage to one bakelite panel with small parts of the design missing and two small screws missing.
The bakelite panel is completely secure in its setting and has been checked by my jeweller.
Due to the busy design of the buckle the damage is not noticeable and the buckle remains in good antique condition. overall.
