Antique Art Deco Figural Peking Glass Necklace
A wonderful antique necklace dating to the Art Deco period. The piece is not signed but bears great similarity to Platinon pieces.
Platinon was an un-tarnishable metal alloy invented by John Wall in Birmingham, England, during the 1920s to imitate platinum.
It was only produced for a very short amount of time and used imported Czech glass alongside the metal to create beautiful creations.
The necklace features pressed green glass pieces in the form of roses alongside decorative rectangular panels.
At the centre of the necklace sits three diamond shaped drops depicting a stylised lady emerging from behind a fan.
Each stone is set into an engraved open back frame. The necklace features a secure bolt ring clasp.
The detail in this necklace is truly incredible.
Condition
There is some light wear to the base engraving of the panels. The necklace remains in good antique condition overall.
