An amazing antique silver & paste necklace dating to the Art Deco period. The necklace features a detailed diamond shaped drop set with black cut glass triangular stones framing a large green glass stoned centrepiece.
The drop hangs from a beautiful silver paste chain which is made up of three identical bracelets that fasten together via three concealed push clasps.
The necklace is marked in various places but unfortunately all of what look to be a makers mark are too faded or scratched to read. There is a clear silver grade mark of '935' and I would imagine the necklace was made in Germany.
There are so many ways to wear this piece and it is such a lovely example of the ingenuity of costume jewellery during this period.
There are two small patches of solder on the base of one bracelet (picture seven). The necklace has been photographed being worn without this bracelet attached to the chain.
There is a little bit of age related discolouration to some of the paste stones but aside from this the necklace remains in excellent condition.
