An exquisite pair of antique 9 carat gold earrings dating to the Victorian period. The gold panelled earrings feature real tortoise beetle scarabs set into detailed openwork gold frames.
The earrings feature long gold hooks and sit comfortably on the ear. One earring is marked '9ct' on its base.
The earrings differ in colour tone with one being a lot more rose toned and the other more yellow. I rather love the mismatched feel of them despite the identical design.
