A wonderful early Victorian mourning brooch in the form of a snake forming the infinity symbol.
The snake is enamelled in black on a silver gilt base. The head of the snake is set with a pearl with a matching pearl drop and tiny rose cut diamond eyes.
The brooch is not hallmarked but is most likely English in origin.
The brooch is in good condition.
